JPEG and PNG files are supported.
Upload JPEG or PNG files, set the AVIF quality, and generate compressed outputs in a batch. The converter will automatically lower quality if needed to ensure each output is smaller than the original. All processing stays in your browser for fast, private conversions.
For high-quality lossy compression, a quality range of 80–90 often looks visually identical while reducing file size significantly. If a max quality option is available, setting it to 100 can preserve detail while still compressing. For PNG inputs, enable lossless mode to keep original quality; AVIF is typically more efficient than PNG, though exact “same quality” results can still vary depending on the source.
This tool prefers client-side WebCodecs when available, and falls back to a WebAssembly AVIF encoder for consistent compression without sending files to a server.

If AVIF export is unsupported in your browser, the conversion will fail gracefully.
